Parish-based Retreat Plans

Select below from the retreat format you need. These parish-based retreat packages include everything you need to succeed in your parish: schedules, talk outlines, prayer services, handouts - every detail. They're well tested in real parishes - and they're powerfully effective.

The purpose of these retreats is to provide as many people as possible with an initial encounter with Christ - or for those whose faith journey is further along, with the chance to deepen their communion with Christ.

We owe a debt of gratitude to TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) and Cursillo. All the retreats here are based on their formula. Among the resources here is a free downloadable article which traces the long history of retreats in the Christian life. You are free to reproduce this and share it widely in your parish.

Finally, remember that once you buy and download these packages, you are free to reproduce them as often as you wish for use in your own parish. And please also be aware that some of these notes did appear earlier in the Handbook for Success in Whole Community Catechesis, but they have been expanded and updated here. Also, having an electronic copy in Word allows you to adapt them to your own parish needs.
