Homilies for the Whole Community is meant to inspire other homilists, but it is also for Lectors, Eucharistic ministers, and all who want to reflect on words of wisdom from a pastor's heart. And Father Mike had a great deal of wisdom in his heart. These reflections are poignant, challenging, uplifting, and life-changing. Father Mike's secret to good homilies was that he spoke to each person and to the whole community at the same time. The sixty-four homilies collected here contain wonderful reflections for every season and major feast of the Church year. It's immediately obvious that they are written to be proclaimed (in sense lines and with key points highlighted in red). Sprinkled throughout are anecdotes from Father Mike's many friends, which give a glimpse into his life, into the person he was, and from where he drew his strength.
